AI will change your organisation. The question is whether leadership turns up before the defaults do.
Most AI programmes start with tools because tools are visible, buyable and enjoy a good demo. Unfortunately, tools do not know what kind of organisation you are trying to become. They are needy like that.
Determined change starts the other way round. Which customer moment should improve? Which cost should fall? Which decision should get better? Which capability should stay in the business rather than living forever in a supplier's statement of work?
Then AI becomes part of the operating design: agents, copilots, automations, data foundations, governance, measurement and human accountability. It may look less shiny, which is often a good sign.
That is the difference between AI as a presentation asset and AI as working infrastructure.
