An agent without a useful job is just software wandering around with confidence.
Agentic AI is a useful phrase that has been asked to do too much. It now means anything from a workflow to a hallucinating intern with tools. Language, as ever, has wandered off without a coat.
For Folio, the question is always job first. What work should move? What context does it need? What tool can it use? What approval is required? What counts as done?
Once those questions are answered, agents become practical. They can plan, act, ask, recover and learn inside bounded work. Without those boundaries, they are mostly a demo wearing a lanyard.
Agentic is not the strategy. The strategy is deciding which work deserves agency.
